The skeleton remains of Cyclone Nada is seen without any precipitatable clouds (see pic) and is lying off Nagai coast. The one good strong band which fell over Chennai gave meaningful clouds.

Right now in Mandaveli, steady rains are lashing and at times its getting heavier. This pattern of rain (some spells and then break and starting again) in Chennai is set to continue ECR and OMR are getting good rains.

The system was formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal. The cyclone is likely to cross the Tamil Nadu coast between Vedaranyam and Puducherry early on December 2 morning

The cyclone which is centred near Chennai will cross tomorrow morning (2nd December). This cyclone has been named Nada. In view of this cyclone there will be rains from today morning in Chennai and Tamil Nadu coastal districts.
