Though North East Monsoon (NEM) has withdrawn as per official announcement, the Powerhouse of NEM, Siberian High still remains strong and as a result of this the Western Pacific is active.

Rains expected in Tamil Nadu
Yesterday there was overlay atmospheric circulation in the inner Tamil Nadu. In view of this there could be light rains in some places of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Rains expected in Tamil Nadu
Regional Meteorological Centre has mentioned that there are chances of rains in Tamil Nadu since the trough of low pressure at mean sea level lies over Sumatra coast and adjoining South Andaman Sea has now developed into a depression.

TN to experience cold weather in the coming days

The Director of the Chennai Meteorological Research Centre, Mr Balachandran, informed that the Northeast Monsoon Season comes to a close in Tamil Nadu.This year the rainfall has been lesser than the average.
