Weather update - Chennai to get rains today
Its really turning out to be Historic January as we move into excess rainfall in January. Cuddalore got battered. Today Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Ramanathapuram and Kanyakumari may get good rains.

Rainfall expected in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry
Due to low pressure winds by South West monsoon across Bay of Bengal, few coastal areas in Tamil Nadu had witnessed showers yesterday that includes Chennai, Cuddalore, Tanjore and other areas too.

2 low pressure zones formed over the Bay of Bengal
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that 2 low-pressure zones have formed over the south-west Bay of Bengal.

Weather update - Last spell of Rains before the long dry season
Delta got a bountiful rains in last spell in January. In this spell, the action will be more concentrated in the South TN and also Delta. Thoothukudi which missed out wiill surely get some rains this time starting from tonight.

Rains expected from today in Tamil Nadu
Officials at the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) here announced that a cyclonic circulation is seen over South Andaman Sea and a trough is extending from this system up to Southwest Bay of Bengal.

Rains in Tamil Nadu from Jan 20th to Jan 26th
The north east monsoon rains have failed in Tamil Nadu. Due to this the farmers are not able to cultivate crops. The northeast monsoon season is over. At this juncture a new low pressure has been formed in Thailand.

Rainfall predicted in Tamil Nadu from January 20
Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has now predicted rainfall in most parts of Tamil Nadu from January 20. The report was announced by Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre Director S. Balachandran.
