As a depression zone has developed over the South Andhra coastal area and North Tamil Nadu coastal area, there are prospects of rain in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Sea-breeze speed goes down - prospects of rain in Tamil Nadu down
As the speed of the sea breeze in the coastal areas has come down, the prospects of rain in the next 24 hours in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry has also come down.

Prospects of widespread rains in Tamil Nadu for the next 3 days
The Director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre, Mr S. Balachandran, informed that a widespread low-pressure zone has developed and stabilised from North to South Tamil Nadu.
