Day will see rains and sunshine in many spells like yesterday. Whenever it rains even brief it will be sharp spell even if it lasts 15-20 minutes. Some spell will last 5 mins and some spells may last 15-20 minutes.

Chennai Rains: 90 percent of monthly rains recorded in just 4 days
As per the latest update, the city has already recorded 90% of its monthly rainfall within 4 days. Torrential rains have paralyzed most parts of the city wherein, most of the routes are inundated under flooding rains.

Dos and donts during flood
Try to be at home if high tide and heavy rains occur simultaneously. Switch off electrical and gas appliances, and turn off services off at the mains.

New depression zone forming over the Andaman area
Indian Weather Research Centre located in Pune has is informed that because of the depression zone formed over the Bay of Bengal, there are strong prospects of heavy rain in the next 2 days (4th and 5th November).
