There prevails low pressure zone created over the southeast Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea areas. Along southwest part of Bay of Bengal, there prevails trough.

Chennai and Delta Rain Update (Tamil Nadu Weatherman)
One after another band of clouds keeps on coming. Next spell is going to be intense burst of spells and again it will be 15-20 minutes of high intensity rains and then break and then next one will follow.
