The depression persisting over the southeast Bay of Bengal has moved northwards in the past six hours. Presently the speed of squally winds is 50 to 55 kmph.

Daily rains here and there are expected to continue in South TN districts of Cyclone Ockhi hit areas of Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar, Theni, Dindigul and Interior parts of Ramanathapuram.

The Depression over southeast Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood moved northwestwards and the system is very likely to move northwestwards and reach Andhra Pradesh coast around 8th December evening.
