The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that the cyclone Titli, presently located at Disa, will intensify further and will cross the coast near Odisha by tomorrow (Thursday, 11th October).

Whether the cyclone Titli turns towards Chennai?
The recently formed cyclone over the Bay of Bengal, named Titli is posing a danger to the Northeast States. The climate experts are in earnest analysis as to whether this cyclone will drift towards Chennai or towards Andhra/Odisha.

Prospects of another cyclone over the Bay of Bengal in 24 hours
The director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre, Balachandran, has informed that there are prospects of a cyclone forming over the Bay of Bengal in the next 24 hours.

The onset of northeast monsoon delayed due to 2 cyclones
Two cyclones have formed in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal Luban over the Arabian Sea and Titli over the Bay of Bengal. Because of this, the onset of the northeast monsoon rainy season is delayed.

Will Northeast monsoon season commence today?
Quiote contrary to the Red Alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on 7th October (yesterday), the day was rather hot right through the day.
