The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that as the wind speeds are likely to be strengthened and blow at higher speeds in the next 5 days, there are prospects the onset of the northeast monsoon rainy season.

As it had been informed earlier that the northeast monsoon rainy season is set to start, IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) has now informed that there may be further delay in the onset of the northeast monsoon.

Onset of North East Monsoon is going to be further delayed and might only happen in the first few days of November as the next low in bay of bengal will be pushed.
