There is a trough lying over southwest Bay of Bengal now. The latest news is there would be moderate rainfall in Tamil Nadu and in Puducherry and this trough is likely to bring the rainfall.

Prospects of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu
IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) has informed that as a low-pressure zone is formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal, there are prospects of heavy rain for the next 3 days from tomorrow (Tuesday, 4th December).
