The Tirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam Board (TTD) has withdrawn the proposal to keep the temple closed for a period of 9 days during the occasion when Maha Samprokshanam is to be performed in August.

It has been announced that there will be no Darshan allowed from 9th August to 17th August due to the scheduled Kumbhabhishekham.

Maha Kumbhabhishekham is scheduled to be celebrated in the famous Tirupati temple from 12th August to 16th August. The traditional annual Brahmotsavam festival is scheduled to be celebrated from 13th September.
