With cyclonic circulation likely to emerge into south Andaman Sea Around 4th December 2022, low pressure area or LPA is likely to form over the SE Bay of Bengal and in the adjoining Andaman Sea around 5th of December. This was according to the prediction from IMD or Indian Meteorological Department. It is now said that for the next few days, many parts belonging to TN would receive light to moderate rains.
During the next 2 days, the low pressure area would likely to go west north westwards and concentrate into a depression over the SE Bay of Bengal. From then one, the low pressure area would likely move towards west north westward and reach TN-Puducherry coast on 8th December. There would be fairly widespread to widespread light & moderate rainfalls with isolated heavy rains.
In the next 4 to 5days in TN, there will be isolated or scattered rainfall because of the easterly wave. On 3rd of December 2022, isolated heavy rainfall would also occur likely over TN. On 4th and 5th December, there would be light to moderate rains. The easterlies and northeasterlies prevail over the region in the lower tropospheric levels- the RMC Chennai .
At few places, there would be light to moderate rains at several parts belonging to TN and there would be isolated thunderstorms and lightning over coastal TN and in a few interior places etc.
The condition of the sky would be cloudy in Chennai and some places would receive light to moderate rains with lightning and thunderstorms.
