The quarterly examinations are set to be conducted as per the new syllabus of the Tamil Nadu State Government and as a new feature, the question papers will be without blueprint this time. With this admirable feature, the private schools have also shown huge interest in following this step initiated by the Tamil Nadu State Government.
The school education department of the Tamil Nadu State Government has been undertaking various initiatives to improve the quality/standard of education in schools. The syllabus has been revised for all the classes and is being implemented. Public examinations for the +1 class have been introduced.
Further, the present ranking system in vogue for the classes from 10th Standard to +2 and the blueprint question paper has been canceled. So, the students have now to study/learn all the lessons in the textbooks and then write the public examinations.
This new system has simplified the procedure/preparation for the students to facilitate writing the entrance examinations.
In this situation, the blueprint system adopted at the district level from the classes from the 1st Standard to 9th Standard has been withdrawn. In the current quarterly examinations, the system of question papers without blueprint has been introduced in several districts including Chennai.
In the revised system, the back-pages of all the textbooks contain not only the questions for the lesson but also includes some intricate questions testing the finer points of the lesson understanding.
This has facilitated a system where the students need to study the lessons in full and assimilate the required knowledge level and then answer the questions.
This new system has gained tremendous popularity among private schools as well! To the extent that the school education department officials shared that several schools have evinced keen interest to avail the government school question papers instead of their own preparation of the same.
