The Mathematics question paper was tough and lengthy in 2019 is known. It was pointed out by some sources that candidates found psychology part very tough. The point is qualifying marks were very high and the psychology part had 30 marks. Only those candidates who give atleast 50 % correct answers in psychology alone could clear the exam. It must be taken into account that the weightage marks system under which the candidates were recruited based on their academic and TET performances was scrapped by the state government
The school education department would conduct a separate test to recruit secondary grade and graduate teachers and this was said in a GO. It is surprising to mention that there are 60,000 TET qualified candidates in TN who dont have permanent jobs.
