The news that many CBSE schools have increased their school fees has been the subject for discussion for many now. The shocking piece of information is a parent paid Rs 70,000 as the school fees to admit her daughter in class 4 in a CBSE school. This parent is not the only one who has suffered from this hike in the school fees of CBSE School and there are many parents also now.

It is well known that students in CBSE get great exposure to NCERT syllabus and many competitive examinations like NEET etc are based on this syllabus. NEET is the only examination for the students to pursue medicine and hence more parents want their kids to study in CBSE schools now.

One important piece of information is the parents were asked to pay development fees now in addition to tuition and admission fees. A parent expressed her thoughts and spoke about how until last year she was asked to pay special fees, maintenance fees plus conveyance fees of Rs 7500, Rs 7500 and RS 3000 respectively. There were also other fees like books, notebooks, uniform, shoes etc.

In this year the above mentioned fees were not there and instead of those a new development fees was present now and it shocked many parents like her. She later threw light on the fact that she and others were forced to buy uniforms, books plus shoes at much higher price at the school itself now. It is now brought out that the annual fees of a famous CBSE School in Mylapore had increased about Rs 25000 from last year. To accommodate students who were admitted under RTE Act, the fees were hiked and this was the reason stated by the school management.

It is surprising that the fees in many top CBSE schools in Chennai city has gone above 1 lakh also. New admissions are facing huge issues regarding fees collected by these top schools in Chennai.

An amount of Rs 30,000 to Rs 60,000 is being collected from the new admissions now. Those students who have switched to CBSE have to pay more amount than those who are already studying in these schools.
