Children’s Park in Guindy, Chennai is a fantastic place for relaxation and many families visit this place. It is really sad and shocking that the visitors often tease the animals in this park and create issues.
The latest news that has come out now is as many as 14 cameras have been fixed in different places in this amazing Children’s park. There is one camera located at the entrance of the Sardar Patel Road also. The main purpose was to keep a check on those who tease the animals here. Another point to be noted is the CCTV cameras could also provide safety for those visitors.
According to the officials it is clear that on holidays many people come to this park and it is very difficult to keep an eye on all. The CCTV installed would increase the vigil and it would be superb.
It is also revealed by the officials that visitors teasing the animals in the enclosures have been an issue for many years and it is not easy to keep an eye on all the visitors. Moreover the officials also have got other works to do. The CCTV cameras would be beneficial now to keep a close watch on those who tease the animals.
The various places in Children’s Park where CCTV cameras are fixed are parking area, ticket counter, lawn area, Vedanthangal birds aviary, play area, deer and birds enclosures, rest area, lunch shed and entrance area etc. Monkey enclosure is one important place in this park and a CCTV camera is installed in this place also as many visitors tease the monkeys. Few adults use kid’s equipment and damage them in children’s play area. To prevent this CCTV camera is fixed here also.
To have quick entry into Children’s Park, many visitors open the western gate here. The presence of a CCTV camera on the road would prevent this now. This was confirmed by an official of this park.
The official later highlighted that the CCTV cameras were initially installed in few places in this park. It was only in the recent times the CCTV cameras were fixed in many places to cover the entire park.
