BSNL services to be in private agency control! Whether free services will be continued?

Posted on: 22/Aug/2014 5:30:18 PM

BSNL Mobile service centre has been given to a private agency. Until now, contacting the BSNL mobile services was free of charge. Now, the question has arisen whether this will continue to be free!

BSNL mobile services centre was operating in Poonamalee. The users could contact the number ‘1500’ to register complaints, and receive information on new schemes. This was free of charge.

However, this office is not functioning any more. It is also not possible to contact ‘1500’.

Reliable sources from BSNL informed:

BSNL mobile service centre at Poonamalle hs been closed. A new mobile service centre has been opened in Flower Bazaar. This is under a private agency.

The BSNL mobile service has been outsourced to a corporate company ‘S R Steels’.The new centre is set to start in 1 or 2 days. The new contact number will be ‘1503’.

With the system now under private agency, questions have arisen whether free services will continue. There is an anxiety that these calls may now be charged.
