61000 candidates to write 1st Stage Civil Services Exam in Chennai alone!

As per the news bulletin released by the Government Examination Board, the 1st stage examinations for Civil Services are being conducted. It is scheduled on 24th August.
The 1st stage Civil Services exams will be conducted at 3 centres – Chennai, Madurai & Coimbatore. In Chennai, 61003 candidates are writing this exam in 145 sub-centres.
It is worth noting that 309 candidates are visually-impaired.They will be having their tests at the –Pathippaga Chennal’ K Ganapathi Government High School.
To facilitate the students writing the examinations, special buses will be run from 3 places: Central Railway Station, Koyambedu Bus Terminus, and Tambaram Bus Terminus.
