Mr. T. S. Sridharan, Director, South India, Nokia, presided the occasion of the release of the latest smart phone from Nokia, Lumia-530.
On this occasion, he told that the popularity and use of smart phones is a global phenomenon. Smart phone usage has increased by 80.57% this current year.
48% of the younger generation (between the ages 18 & 24) use smart phones.
Tamil Nadu leads in the use of smart phones in India. Pune, Ahmadabad, and Coimbatore are among the cities where smart phone usage is high.
Nokia has introduced their new smart phone, Lumia-530.
Its price is Rs. 7300/- only. It has all features expected in a smart phone.2 SIM cards can be used. Large amount of information can be downloaded and kept. 3 Lakhs Apps can be downloaded.
This smart phone is as good as computer. It has high speed internet browsing facility.
Nokia started producing smart phones in the year 2011. At that time, the price of a smart phone was Rs. 25000/- Now, it has reduced considerably.
Nokia’s main target is to make this latest smart phone popular among the youngsters.
