Kailasam, son of veteran film director and producer K. Balachander is dead

Veteran film director and producer K. Balachander son Kailasam passed away at a private hospital on Friday. Family sources said Mr. Kailasam (53) was suffering from lung infection and had been admitted to a private hospital 15 days ago.
Mr. Kailasam, an engineering graduate, went to the U.S. to study filmmaking with specialisation in audio and sound technology. After he came back , he founded Minbimbangal, a serial production company for television. He is survived by his wife Geetha, a son and a daughter.
