Inclusion of More Private Parking Lots on Grid- Chennai Corporation

The Corporation has removed the current maps of parking lots online, to supplant them with a parking management system within few weeks.

Currently, 2,000 slots at 146 parking lots are under the control of the Corporation. On the occasion of the meeting on Saturday, Corporation officials provided the list of additional parking lots for enclosure in the parking management system.
Also, the officials investigated the prospect of adding private parking spaces, counting malls and houses, in the new system. Resolutions on spotting, commissioning and charging the employ of private parking lots will be taken soon. People can reserve a parking lot well advance via the parking management system.
