12 hours uninterrupted power supply for Cauvery delta farmers

Cauvery delta farmers can now get 12 hours uninterrupted power supply for tapping groundwater in this Kuruvai cultivation season. This is one among the decisions made by the review meeting chaired by Tamil Nadu CM, J. Jayalalitha on Thursday. During the meet, poor discussions were on about the poor storage in Stanley reservoir, Mettur. The treasury is bound to allot Rs 32.95 crore this season, says a statement issued from CM’s end.
In addition, over 7000 farmers may also get high-density polyethylene pipes at 100 per cent subsidy.
