Special Voters camp for the 2nd day today (24th Feb) throughout Tamil Nadu

Today (Sunday, 24th February) is the 2nd day of the special camp being organised for the addition/deletion/correction of voters’ names.
The final voters’ list for the state of Tamil Nadu was released on January. Accordingly, in order to carry out the required addition/deletion/correction of names in the voters’ list, a special 2-days camp is being organised from yesterday (23rd February) , Thus, the camp functions on the 2nd day today (24th February) throughout the 67000 polling booths in Tamil Nadu.
The camp starts functioning from 9.30 AM and concludes by 5.30 PM. During the 1st day of this special camp yesterday, an enthusiastic lot of voting public willingly attended the camp and it is reported that 2.21 Lakhs of applications have been received on this 1 day!
Also, 173228 individuals have applied for the addition of their names as new in the voters’ list.
