Anna Nagar covered with cycle sharing system

Chennai Corporation likely to introduce cycle sharing system in many important junctions of Chennai. As an initial phase Anna Nagar area will be introduced with this special facility of cycle sharing system that will connect metro stations with the locality. The dock-less-cycle sharing system will roll out with 250 bicycles attached with GPS.
With this new facility Anna Nagar metro station will have the last minute connectivity alongside the nearby locations. A dedicated app will be created for the purpose of cycle sharing service. People have to collect their respective cycles and then have to leave them in the feeder stations with the help of individual profile app and GPS tracking system.
Payment will be charged for the service and Chennai Corporation with the aid of smart city funding will start to incorporate this system into other areas of the city as soon as possible. Payment mechanisms and application development will be checked by concerned authorities. In coming future the state body has planned to implement the system in 500 locations with 5000 cycles connecting all the localities.
