Dense Fog Disrupts Flights: 11 Services Cancelled at Chennai Airport
Dense fog and adverse weather conditions across Delhi and several northern States continued to disrupt air traffic, leading to the cancellation of 11 flights at Chennai Airport on Wednesday, causing inconvenience to passengers.
According to airport sources, four departing flights from Chennai to Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Ghaziabad were cancelled. In addition, seven incoming flights from Delhi, Jaipur, Patna, Pune, Kolkata, and Indore to Chennai were also called off.
Flight operations in Delhi and other northern regions have been severely affected over the past few days due to dense fog, poor visibility, adverse weather conditions, and air pollution. In several cases, flights bound for Delhi were unable to land and were diverted to alternate airports.
As a result, flight services between Chennai and northern destinations have been facing repeated disruptions, leaving many passengers stranded or experiencing delays and cancellations.
