New Police Commissioners Take Charge in Tambaram and Avadi
New police commissioners have officially assumed charge in Tambaram and Avadi following recent administrative reshuffles in the Tamil Nadu Police Department.
ADGP Amalraj Reappointed as Tambaram Police Commissioner With Abhin Dinesh Modak, who took charge as Tambaram Police Commissioner in July last year, being transferred, the government has reappointed Amalraj as the Tambaram City Police Commissioner.
ADGP Amalraj, who had earlier served in the same post, assumed charge on Tuesday. Senior police officials extended their greetings and best wishes to him upon his return.
Prem Anand Sinha Takes Charge as Avadi Police Commissioner In a parallel development, K. Shankar, who was serving as the Avadi Police Commissioner, has been transferred and appointed as Director of Prisons.
Following this, Prem Anand Sinha, who was serving as Inspector General of Police (South Zone), has been promoted as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) and appointed as the Avadi City Police Commissioner. He assumed charge yesterday, with Additional Commissioner Bhavaneeswari and other senior officials welcoming him.
The appointments are expected to strengthen law enforcement and administrative efficiency in the rapidly growing police commissionerates of Tambaram and Avadi.
