Heavy Rain Alert for 10 Tamil Nadu Districts; Chennai Likely to Receive Thunderstorms Tomorrow

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, has forecast heavy rainfall in several districts of Tamil Nadu over the next two days due to prevailing weather conditions across the state.

According to the latest weather update, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, and Tiruvannamalai districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall today. Residents in these districts have been advised to remain cautious and follow weather advisories issued by local authorities.

The weather department has also predicted heavy rain tomorrow in Tirunelveli, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Dindigul, Theni, and Kanniyakumari districts. These areas may experience intense showers accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds.

For Chennai and its suburban areas, the forecast indicates light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning in isolated places tomorrow. The city is expected to witness partly cloudy skies with favourable conditions for rain during the day.

Meteorologists attribute the rainfall activity to changing atmospheric conditions over Tamil Nadu and adjoining regions. People living in low-lying areas and those planning travel are advised to monitor weather updates and take necessary precautions.
