Yesterday, Chennai Kotturpuram based Anna Centenary Library was buzzing with activities. Here, the College Dream 2025 program for higher education guidance under Naan Mudhalvan Scheme took place.
At this popular library, the DCM or deputy chief minister Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin made his presence felt yesterday. He launched the above said project all over Tamil Nadu through video conferencing and released a higher education guidebook. The deputy CM then felicitated and presented shields to as many as 58 boys and girls students who have received boarding and lodging training under the Naan Mudhalvan Scheme and have tasted success in the staff selection commission or SSC exam and RRB or railway recruitment board exam and banking exam etc.
He then spoke about how the College Dream 2025 has been implemented to provide a perfect future for the students who go abroad for higher studies. Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin expressed his happiness regarding more number of students studying higher education from the scheme.
It is learnt that the number of students joining higher education from the schools in TN is increasing and it is 52percent now. Point is that number of students joining higher education from schools across India is just 29percent. The DCM mentioned that it might take another 10 to 15 years for other states to achieve the growth that the state of TN has achieved.
For the higher education admissions, there must be any entrance examination and this is the policy of the DMK government and hence the new education policy has been opposed
The event witnessed the participation of some important personalities like ministers, Mr. M. Subramaniam, Mr. Anbhil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Mr. Pradeep Yadav, additional chief secretary, special projects implementation department, Mr. Chandramohan, secretary school education department, Mr. Kranti Kumar, MD TN skill development corporation, Mr. Kannappan, director of school education department plus few others etc.
