American Eye Care Centre to Host Legacy of Vision Day and Free Eye Camp in Chennai

American Eye Care Centre, Chennai, is set to host Legacy of Vision Day on August 15, 2026, as part of its annual Independence Day celebration highlighting service, innovation, and excellence in ophthalmology.

As part of the event, the centre will organise a free eye camp in Chennai from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at its facility in Valasaravakkam. The initiative aims to promote eye health awareness and provide access to essential eye screening and care services.

Free Eye Camp in Valasaravakkam

The American Eye Care Centre Free Eye Camp will be held on August 15, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the centre in Valasaravakkam, Chennai.

The eye camp will provide an opportunity for residents to undergo eye screening and gain awareness about common eye conditions, preventive care, and advanced treatment options.

The programme will be inaugurated by Thiru Thol. Thirumavalavan, Honourable Member of Parliament for the Chidambaram Constituency.

Tamil Nadu`s First Huvitz OCT Angiography System

A major highlight of the event is the launch of Tamil Nadu`s first Huvitz OCT Angiography System. The advanced imaging technology is intended to support the early detection of conditions such as diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration (ARMD).

The programme will also feature Prof. C. M. K. Reddy, D.Sc., FRCS, Emeritus Professor of Surgery at TN Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and President of the Tamil Nadu Medical Practitioners Association.
