Passport Application Fee Hiked from Tomorrow: Regular Fee Increased to ₹2,500, Tatkal to ₹5,000

The passport application fee for Indian citizens will be revised from tomorrow, making it more expensive to apply for a new passport or renew an existing one.

According to the latest announcement, the regular passport application fee has been increased from ₹1,500 to ₹2,500, while the Tatkal passport application fee has been revised from ₹3,500 to ₹5,000.

The revised charges will come into effect from tomorrow, and all passport applications submitted thereafter will be processed based on the new fee structure. Applicants planning to apply for a passport are advised to check the updated fee details before submitting their applications.
