Tamil Nadu Weather Update: Moderate Rain to Continue, Heavy Showers Expected from November 17
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has announced that moderate rain will continue across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry today and tomorrow. A cyclonic circulation over the southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal is influencing the current weather conditions, bringing moisture and cloud cover across coastal and interior districts.
From November 17, the intensity of rainfall is expected to increase, with heavy to very heavy rain likely in parts of Chennai, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, Thoothukudi, and Delta districts.
In Chennai, the sky will remain partly cloudy, and a few areas may experience light to moderate showers, especially in the evening or night.
Meanwhile, strong winds reaching speeds of up to 55 km/h are expected over the Bay of Bengal. Fishermen are strictly advised not to venture into the sea due to rough conditions.
