Moderate Rain Likely in Coastal Districts; Heavy Rain Alert for Delta Regions of Tamil Nadu
Due to an upper atmospheric circulation over the central parts of the southern Bay of Bengal, moderate rainfall is likely at isolated places in the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.
Weather officials have also issued a heavy rain alert for the delta districts on January 9, as the system is expected to intensify rainfall activity over these regions.
In addition, light fog is likely during early morning hours today and tomorrow at a few places across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, which may affect visibility.
Meanwhile, a frost warning has been issued for isolated areas in the Nilgiris and Kodaikanal, where cold conditions may lead to early morning frost, posing a risk to crops and local vegetation.
Residents in coastal, delta, and hill regions are advised to stay updated with official weather bulletins and take necessary precautions.
