Chennai gold prices increased on Saturday, August 22, 2026, according to the latest morning rates released by the Madras Jewellers & Diamond Traders Association (MJDTA).

The 22-carat gold rate increased by Rs 100 per gram, reaching Rs 14,950 per gram. The 18-carat gold rate also rose by Rs 100 per gram to Rs 12,730 per gram.
