The Department of Information and Public Relations, in association with the Department of Public Health and Family Welfare and Apollo Hospitals, is organizing a special medical camp today for journalists, media professionals, and their families.
The camp will be held at Kalaivanar Arangam, Chepauk, Chennai, from 8:45 AM to 4:30 PM. The initiative aims to promote the health and well-being of media personnel who play a key role in public communication and awareness.
During the camp, a wide range of medical tests and consultations will be provided, including blood pressure check, kidney screening, echocardiogram (ECHO), ECG, complete blood test, and tuberculosis detection.
In addition, general medicine, general surgery, ophthalmology (eye), dental, orthopaedic, and cardiology consultations will also be available.
This health camp reflects the Tamil Nadu Government’s continued commitment to ensuring accessible healthcare for all, especially professionals working under high stress and demanding conditions.
