Light rains in Chennai till Saturday - IMD forecast!!

For the next couple of days, the weather would be subdued in most parts belonging to Tamil Nadu. Till Saturday, there would be isolated rains in Tamil Nadu and in Puducherry and this was predicted by the Indian Meteorological Department or IMD. There would not be widespread or intense rainfall in Tamil Nadu as there is no weather system to trigger it. This week, in most places in TN just dry weather only would be there.
From Sunday onwards, there might be a slight increase in the rainfall in the state. In Chennai, the weather was slightly warm yesterday. In Nungambakkam in Chennai, the maximum temperature record was 34.4 degrees Celsius and in Meenambakkam the maximum temperature recorded was 34.6degrees Celsius.
Till 5:30pm on Wednesday, places like Udhagamandalam and Valparai received light to moderate rains of 4cm and 1 cm respectively in the last 24 hours.
For a few days, only thunderstorm activity was possible as strong Westerlies prevailed over the region. This was according to some officials. The connective activity would play a huge role in triggering light to moderate rains in Chennai till Friday. Till Friday, Chennai would record a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius. Truth is that TN has received nearly 46cm of rainfall till now.
