Heavy Rain Alert for 3 Tamil Nadu Districts; Rain Likely in Chennai This Evening

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has issued a heavy rain alert for Coimbatore, Theni, and The Nilgiris districts of Tamil Nadu for today.

According to the latest weather forecast, these three districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall, accompanied by favourable weather conditions over the Western Ghats region.

The weather department has also predicted that Chennai may experience rainfall during the evening or night, bringing relief from the prevailing warm and humid conditions.

Residents in the affected districts are advised to remain cautious during periods of heavy rain, avoid unnecessary travel in vulnerable areas, and stay updated with the latest weather advisories issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
