Gold Prices Rise Again in Chennai; Silver Sees a Dip

Gold prices in Chennai continue to fluctuate sharply, changing twice a day - once in the morning and again in the evening - and touching record highs. This sudden surge has come as a shock to people planning to purchase gold for upcoming auspicious occasions.

Today, the price of gold recorded a slight increase. The price rose by Rs. 50 per gram, with one gram of gold selling at Rs. 12,800. Similarly, the price of gold increased by Rs. 400 per sovereign, taking the cost of one sovereign (22 carat) to Rs. 1,02,400.

In contrast, silver prices declined today after witnessing steady gains in recent days. The price of silver dropped by Rs. 4 per gram, with one gram now priced at Rs. 268. A kilogram silver bar is currently selling at Rs. 2,68,000.
