Tiruvallur Declares Local Holiday on August 6 for Tiruttani Aadi Krithigai Festival

Tiruvallur District Collector Kavitha has declared Thursday, August 6, as a local holiday for Tiruvallur district in view of the Aadi Krithigai festival at the famous Tiruttani Subramanya Swamy Temple.

The Aadi Krithigai festival, celebrated annually at the Tiruttani Murugan Temple, attracts lakhs of devotees from across Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states. Devotees participate in the festival by carrying Kavadis and Paal Kudams (milk pots) as offerings to Lord Murugan.

The local holiday has been announced to facilitate devotees visiting the temple and to ensure the smooth conduct of the festival.
