To accommodate increased passenger demand during the Christmas festival season, Indian Railways has announced special train services connecting Mangaluru–Chennai Central and Secunderabad–Velankanni.
Mangaluru – Chennai Central Christmas Special Train

Departure: December 23 & 30 at 3:10 AM from Mangaluru
Arrival: December 24 & 31 at 11:30 PM at Chennai Central Railway Station

Departure: December 24 & 31 at 4:15 AM
Arrival: December 25 & January 1 at Mangaluru
Major Stops Include:
Tiruvallur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad and other important stations.
Secunderabad – Velankanni Christmas Special Train

Departure: December 23 at 7:25 PM
Arrival: December 24 at 5:30 PM at Velankanni

Departure: December 25 at 8:00 AM
Arrival: December 26 at 6:10 AM at Secunderabad
