Tamil Nadu Weather Forecast: Moderate Rain Likely from Dec 11 to 16, Says Chennai Meteorological Centre
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has announced that Tamil Nadu is likely to receive moderate rainfall from Thursday, December 11, to December 16. In its weather bulletin released on Wednesday, the centre stated that the variation in easterly wind speed could bring moderate showers at a few places across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.
Additionally, light fog may occur in one or two interior regions of Tamil Nadu during early morning hours.
Chennai Weather Outlook
On Thursday, Chennai and its suburbs are expected to see partly cloudy skies, with light rain possible in isolated areas. The maximum temperature is forecast to remain around 88°F.
Rainfall Report (24 Hours Ending 8:30 AM, Dec 8)
- Nagapattinam district recorded the highest rainfall at 40 mm
- Karaikal, Thiruvarur, Vedaranyam (Nagapattinam), and Mandapam (Ramanathapuram) each recorded 10 mm
Light showers were reported in several coastal and delta regions, while interior areas experienced cool, foggy mornings.
