Tamil Nadu to Conduct Monthly Public Distribution System (PDS) Grievance Redressal Camps Across All Districts
The Tamil Nadu Government has announced that monthly Public Distribution System (PDS) grievance redressal camps will be conducted in every taluk across the state to ensure that citizens can easily access essential services and resolve issues related to ration cards and PDS benefits.
Accordingly, the December 2025 monthly PDS Grievance Redressal Camp will be held in Chennai on 13 December 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at all 19 Zonal Assistant Commissioner Offices of the Department of Food Supply and Consumer Protection.
Services Offered at the Camp
Citizens can avail themselves of various PDS-related services, including:
- Addition of names to family ration cards
- Deletion of names
- Address change requests
- Mobile number registration or modification
- Issuance of authorization certificates for senior citizens and persons unable to visit fair price shops
- Assistance for doorstep delivery eligibility
Officials will also receive complaints related to:
- Functioning of fair price shops
- Issues with commodities supplied
- Deficiencies in products or services sold in private markets
- Any other grievances linked to PDS operations
All complaints registered during the camp will be processed promptly, and appropriate action will be taken to ensure timely resolution.
Residents holding family ration cards in the 19 zones of Chennai are encouraged to participate and benefit from these services.
