A new app launched now to identify damaged roads in Chennai!!

To identify the potholes (damaged roads) present in Chennai with the help of public feedback, a mobile application Namma Salai was launched on Thursday, 2nd November 2023. The sports minister Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin along with small ports minister Mr. EV. Velu launched this new application.
It is important to note that to achieve the goal of accident free TN and ensure potholes free roads a mobile app to identify potholes was announced. This was in demand s for the grant of the state Highways dept in 2023-24.
By using this mobile app, it is possible for the public to upload photographs of potholes in the highways with their geographical coordinates. It must be noted that the photos would be sent to the engineer and the potholes would be repaired within a stipulated time. In the application, the photos of the repaired roads would also be uploaded. Point is that details regarding fallen trees and floods during natural disasters could also be uploaded in the application.
