Now, why more chaos at Chennai airport?

The MLCP or Multi Level Car Parking facility at the Chennai airport has not done what it was expected to do!!

Just  about a month back, MLCP was inaugurated at Chennai airport and it was supposed to provide a superb solution to all the traffic issues. The MLCP was meant to eliminate the traffic congestion issues of the passengers and the visitors at the airport.

Now, inspite of the presence of MLCP at the airport in Chennai it is difficult to find a suitable parking spot. Moreover the entry into the airport and exit from the airport is taking lots of time leading to chaos here.

It must be taken into account that the visitors park their vehicles outside the MCLP at the airport. Not only the visitors are finding it difficult but the staff belonging toi AAI or Airport Authority of India police plus other workers etc too. It is known that these people would have to enter and exit at the airport many times in a day for their work`s sake. Pont is that these people find it difficult to access the MLCP at the airport.

As per some passengers here it was clear that earlier there used to be 2 entrances  to enter the airport but now these entrances have been closed. Now. all the domestic and intl passengers have been asked to enter the airport through the road present near the subway at Tirusulam. This has led to heavy traffic congestion.

A regular passenger at the airport expressed his thoughts. He spoke about how the vehicles were forced to pay the parking fares. He was unhappy that MLCP was not arranged properly and due to that accessing the MCP takes a lot of time.  He concluded that the MLCP would not be useful for anyone.

It was later brought out by an airport official that MLCP was an issue and AAI has been trying ways to rectify the issues by studying the complaints everyday. He assured it was just the beginning (inauguration of MLCP was just about a month back) and the issue regarding MLCP would not be there in the future.
