Traffic changes in Chennai due this Srinivasa Thirukalyanam celestial event!!

It has been 14 years since Srinivasa Thirukalyanam the celestial event took place in Chennai.
Today 16th April 2022, Srinivasa Thirukalyanam would be held on the behalf of Tirumala- Tirupati Devasthanam and this would take place at 7pm at the Island Grounds in Chennai. Police are expecting many people to turn up for this celestial event and have made some important traffic changes.
There are some changes made now in the traffic in Chennai for the sake of this sensational event. From 4pm in the evening till the end of the event, people have been asked to follow alternate routes. This was mainly to avoid traffic congestion and unnecessary waiting etc.
Vehicles travelling from Kamarajar Salai to Anna Salai and E.V. R. Salai would have to take a left turn near Uzhaipalar Statue and reach the EVR Salai via Wallajah Road and Anna Pallavan Road.
Those vehicles moving from Rajaji Salai near Parry’s towards Kamarajar Salai can reach Kamarajar salai via northern fort side or NFS Road, Muthuswamy Salai, E.V.R. Salai, Pallavan Salai and Anna Wallajah Salai. It must be noted that for those vehicles that are coming from E.V.R. Salai and moving towards Rajaji Salai could use NFS Road through Muthuswamy Road.
