GCC intensifies the monitoring third wave of the coronavirus pandemic in Chennai Metro City!

With the increasing extent/impact of the fast and wide-spreading coronavirus and its variant Omicrob, the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has initiated several activities to prevent and check the same!
GCC has formed squads to strictly monitor the public wearing facial masks, observing social distancing in public places, etc.
To detect infection at early stages and also to undertake prevention activities, 30000 samples are taken daily in Chennai Metro City!
Samples are taken at intervals from the public-gathering spots and tested. Samples will also be collected from the commercial complexes, academic institutions, associated hostels, banks, private sector and public sector offices and tested.
Samples will be collected from the above place once in 45 days for testing.
Greater Chennai Corporation has further announced that it is mandatory for all the employees working in the above places to have been administered the double dose of coronavirus vaccines.
