36 DSPs transferred

DGP Ashok Kumar has ordered the transfers of 36 DSPs on Monday. Transfers are normally ordered for administrative convenience, disciplinary action or complaints. On Sunday 58 IPS officers were transferred. At this juncture, DGP (Law & Order) Ashok Kumar had issued transfer orders to 36 DSPs. Sources say that the police officers will carry out the transfers in a day or two.
Assistant Commissioners of Greater Chennai have not been transferred. It is significant to note that a major reshuffle has been done now after 2011.
