TANGEDCOs advice for the public about the onset of monsoon season

TANGEDCO has warned the public not to touch snapped electric wires lying on the ground.
A brief on the press release from Chennai West Circle Power Distribution Superintending Engineer, Mr. K. K. Thangavel:
· Do not approach near transformers, electric poles, electric power distribution boxes, during the rainy season.
· Please avoid walking on the stagnant water in the road-end, especially near the electric power junction/distribution boxes.
· Public should be alert enough to disconnect power in case of any emergency acting with utmost caution to prevent accidents on electricity-related incidents.
