Top 10 Most Profitable Companies in India in FY 2025-26: SBI Leads the List

State Bank of India (SBI) has emerged as the most profitable company in India for the financial year 2025-26, recording a consolidated profit of ₹83,299 crore, according to data sourced from Screener and NSE.

The ranking includes major companies from the banking, financial services, automobile, oil and gas, information technology and telecommunications sectors.

SBI Secures the Top Position

SBI claimed the first position with a consolidated profit of ₹83,299 crore, narrowly ahead of Tata Motors at ₹82,390 crore. Reliance ranked third with ₹80,775 crore.

The list highlights the strong financial performance of India`s leading companies across several important sectors. Banking and financial services have a particularly strong presence, with SBI, HDFC, LIC and ICICI all featuring among the top 10.

The oil and gas sector is also well represented through Reliance, Indian Oil and ONGC, while TCS represents India`s information technology sector and Tata Motors leads the automobile segment.
