FASTag Mandatory for Tirupati Alipiri Hill Road from August 15, 2025
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has officially announced that from August 15, 2025, FASTag will be mandatory for all vehicles using the Alipiri ghat road (hill route) to reach Tirumala Tirupati.
This move aims to enhance security, reduce traffic congestion, and ensure transparent toll collection on the sacred hill route. The decision comes as part of TTD’s ongoing efforts to modernize pilgrimage infrastructure and improve the overall experience for devotees.
To assist devotees, ICICI Bank will set up a FASTag issuing center at Alipiri. Vehicles without FASTag will not be allowed to enter the ghat road.
TTD initially introduced FASTag on a trial basis in 2022, and now, the system will be enforced for all vehicles accessing Tirumala via the Alipiri road.
