Chennai Sewage Pumping Services Suspended for 12 Hours in Teynampet Zone on May 13
The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) has announced that sewage pumping operations in parts of Chennai’s Teynampet zone will be temporarily suspended for 12 hours on May 13.
The disruption will be in effect from 10 AM to 10 PM due to interconnection works being carried out by Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) near the Mandaveli Bus Terminus on Ramakrishna Madam Road.

- South Boag Road Sewage Pumping Station
- Chamiers Road Sewage Pumping Station
- Mandaveli Sewage Pumping Station
Areas Expected to Be Affected
Residents in the following areas may face temporary sewage-related issues during the maintenance work:
- Alwarpet
- Nandanam
- Abhiramapuram
- Raja Annamalai Puram
- Mylapore
- Mandaveli
- Santhome
CMWSSB has requested residents to cooperate during the maintenance period and contact officials for any sewage-related grievances or emergency assistance.
